Goals from players of Benfica in the victory of the U-18 National team


In a starting XI ruled by players from Caixa Futebol Campus, Pedro Álvaro and Luís Leal sealed Portugal's triumph over Mexico.

The U-18 National Team played, on Wednesday, the first match of the 36th Porto International Tournament, that takes place until April 22. The "benfiquistas" Pedro Álvaro (11’) and Luís Lopes (37’) scored the goals of the Portuguese victory against Mexico (2-1).

The National coach Filipe Ramos named six Benfica players in the starting XI: Celton Biai, Pedro Álvaro, Gonçalo Loureiro, Nuno Tavares, Rodrigo Conceição and Luís Lopes. Diogo Capitão and Pedro Ganchas came on during the match.

Portugal plays again at 5:00 pm on Friday, against Belarus, at Estádio Dr. Jorge Sampaio, in Pedroso.

France, on Sunday, April 22, will be Portugal's opponent in the third and last round of the competition.
