Football Training Session July 9 Press

On the eighth day of the 2019/20 pre-season, Benfica trained again under the watchful eye of the Media. One day before the home match against Anderlecht, Bruno Lage had 24 players at his disposal.

With 24 players working on the pitch – among which the summer signings Chiquinho, Caio Lucas, Cádiz, and Raul de Tomas – Bruno Lage, on the other hand, could not count on Jonas, André Almeida (recovering from a stress fracture of the right tibia) and Gedson (recovering from a fracture of the right foot).

PATH TO THE SUPER CUP

Among the internationals – Pizzi, Rúben Dias, Rafa, Fejsa, Seferovic, Samaris and Odysseas – only Zivkovic is missing and he will only arrive on July 14 because he represented Serbia in the U-21 European Championship.

The working session - the first on Tuesday - precedes the Presentation Match (July 10, 8:30 pm), at Estádio da Luz, in which Benfica hosts Anderlecht. On July 13 (Saturday, 8:15 pm), it is scheduled a new match, against Académica at the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra.
