The Eagles' number 10 jersey scored the goal that sealed the win (0-2) from Rui Vitória's team in Alto Minho. It was the 15th match in which Jonas has scored (the away matches at Chaves and at FC Porto were the exceptions), thus ending the first half of the competition with 20 strikes.
The first goal scored by the Eagles in Moreira de Cónegos (23’) is illustrative of how much Jonas adds to Benfica's build-up: on the left, the Brazilian received a short back-heel pass from Cervi, and then, inside the penalty area, he saw Pizzi on the opposite side; he made a perfect pass with his right foot for the unstoppable strike from the Portuguese international.
In the second half, after several attempts, Benfica's number 10 jersey put the ball in the back of Moreirense's net. And he did it with a left-footed strike, inside the penalty area.
By putting the ball in the back of the net at 74’, Jonas promoted even more the first intervention of João Carvalho in the match: the youngster nurtured at Caixa Futebol Campus put Belkeroui under pressure and stole the ball near Moreirense's penalty area, crossed the ball towards the penalty area, where Pistolas was able to receive and make a left-footed shot, beating Jhonatan.
