Eagles and "sadinos" contended for the win at the Sado International Tournament. The Argentinean new signing, Ferreyra, scored the goal from the Reds, in a draw (1-1) that was enough to lift the trophy.
At the end of the match, Ferreyra analyzed the highlights, was happy to have scored, but the most important was the fact that his goal helped the team.
“I am very happy to have scored, what was also important in terms of confidence and to help the team. We must continue working in this pre-season and not forget that these are friendly matches. Obviously that we want to win, but they essentially serve as preparation and we have to work on that”, he said at the Mixed Zone.
How have been these first days with Benfica's jersey?
“I have been feeling well. It is all new, Benfica is a big challenge for me. I am also very happy because my teammates welcomed in the best way possible. Of course, everything will be easier for me if it continues to be this way.”, revealed the Reds' new signing.
“Apart from the competition, it is always good that the forwards sore because of the confidence. Regardless of who scores we are all happy for helping Benfica and the internal competition is good”, he added.
Asked if it will be difficult to be the top scorer in Portugal, Ferreyra has no doubts…
“It will be different, I don’t know if it is more difficult or not because in Ukraine it was also hard to scorer goals. I will try to score and, if I don’t score, I hope to help the team with sacrifice and with all I can”, he finished.
