A hot and humid Friday morning in New Jersey, in the United States. It was in this "usual" scenario that the Benfica squad carried on the work plan at the Training Center of the Rutgers University.

With concentration and discipline, the eagles carried out another chapter of the preparation outlined for the 2018/19 season, on the eve of the match against Juventus, within the International Champions Cup, scheduled for 1:05 pm on Saturday (6:05 pm in mainland Portugal), at the Red Bull Arena, in New York.

Futebol

The test against Juventus is demanding, as was the match held on Wednesday evening (early morning on Thursday in mainland Portugal) against Borussia Dortmund. At the Heinz Field Stadium, in Pittsburgh, Benfica beat the Germans by 3-4 on penalties, after the 2-2 at full time. It was the first match of the Reds in the 2018/19 Internacional Champions Cup.

The third and last match of the Eagles in this edition of the International Champions Cup is scheduled for August 1, against Lyon, at the Estádio Algarve, a match that also determines the winner of the Eusébio Cup.
