Starting his third season at Benfica, Cervi already has 86 appearances and 12 goals with an eagle on his chest, always under Rui Vitória, and he his a strong candidate to rack up his first cap for Argentina.

A first-timer in an Argentina national team call-up, the eagle's number 11 looks to seize the confidence underlining the call-up to show his value.

"I work at the Club always with the expectation and the ambition of being called-up to Argentina national team. I am very happy to be here. All players dream with this. I want to make the most of it", said Cervi in statements to the journalists in Los Angeles (United States), where the national team is carrying out a training camp to play two friendly matches.

"It is a huge joy, a great responsibility to be able to represent the national team. I have to do the best I can to take the most of this opportunity", stated Cervi, who, according to the news in Argentina, might feature in the starting lineup against Colombia.
