SL Benfica and Ascoli Calcio FC have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Ricardo Matos. In the first season as a senior player, the forward embraces a new challenge in Italy, after going through all the youth ranks from the eagles.

He was U-19 national champion in 2017/18. Last season, he played 36 matches for the U-19 and U-23 and scored 10 goals.
