ICC Trophy delivered in the Presidential Box

In addition to Benfica's 5-0 win over Paços de Ferreira in the Liga NOS debut, Saturday night was also marked by the delivery of the Internacional Champions Cup trophy in the presidential box, at Estádio da Luz.

Charlie Stillitano, he face of the ICC organization, took stock of Benfica's participation in the competition.

“It's a big even and if you think about the teams that participated like Benfica, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Juventus, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, which are the best clubs in the world, you can see that the ICC had to be magnificent. This year Benfica won and it was well deserved”, he confessed.

“Benfica had great ambassadors in the United States who managed to take a little of Portugal.  It's a club with a lot of emigrant fans and it was great to see. Benfica is the perfect club to be present in the ICC, it has shown its greatness and above all that it values its academy players”, he stressed.

For the first time at Luz, Charlie Stillitano explained how he felt seeing a match from the reds: “It's very special to be here. I grew up in New Jersey with a Portuguese Community around me, but being here watching a Benfica match, the atmosphere and the fans, it was amazing.”
