Multifunction, he prefers to play on the right side of the defense, knowing all positions of the defensive sector. He is also familiar with the midfield positions, especially in the center.

Recruited from Belenenses in 2011, he has been gaining value from season to season at Benfica, a rise that began in earnest in 2012/13, after a short loan spell at U. Leiria.

In this journey, he has managed to reach Portugal Senior national team, after adding more than three dozen caps for the national youth teams (from U-18 to U-21). Showing up in finishing areas and trying his luck, he scored his first goals (2) for the reds in 2016/17, season in which the team celebrated the fourth consecutive title.
