He beneficiated from the high-profile transfer of his countryman David Luiz – who had developed and had been promoted at Benfica – to the English team Chelsea, the also Brazilian centre-back left Olhanense and gave a giant leap in his career joining the eagles in January 2011.
He worked his way up in the career – Avaí, Vitória, Santos, Iraty, Joinville, Ituano e Desportivo Brasil were the clubs he represented in Brazil –, he showed himself in Portugal at Estoril (2009/10) and at Olhanense, until arriving at Luz and being able to give another glare to his professional career, garnishing his curriculum with achievements– the first was the League Cup, in his first season at the eagles.
