Nurtured, for the most part, at Partizan, the new signing of the Eagles finished his formative years outside of his country. He had spells in Romenia (Viitorul Constanta) and Italy, where he played in the youth teams of Roma and Empoli. In 2015/16, he returned to his home country to play at Cukaricki and make his senior debut. He demonstrated his credentials and caught the attention of Red Star, a major Serbian club that bought him and sold him to Marseille in 2018/19. In the 2020/21 season, he played at Hertha Berlin.
