Following the Made in Seixal paradigm, João Félix is one of the bets on Benfica's first team in 2018/19 after a good season at the B and U-19 teams, where he became champion.
Despite being still very young (18 years old), João Félix deserved the promotion to the first team of Benfica in 2018/19 after an excellent season at U-19 squad, where he helped the team win the title, with 16 goals scored in 16 matches.
Seen as one of the great talents nurtured at Caixa Futebol Campus, the attacker made his debut for the B team on September 17, 2016, aged only 16, in a scoreless draw between Freamunde and Benfica B. He already has 31 appearances for the Club’s reserve team and has scored in nine occasions.
He has already scored his first goal for the Club’s first team in the derby against Sporting. He became the club's third youngest player ever to score against the rival.
Quick, technically evolved, intelligent reading the game and the holder of a lethal shot, João Félix was always one of the regulars in the Portuguese youth national teams since the U-18 level.
