The return to great European finals

There were five outstanding football seasons - Two European finals in three seasons- and in all the other sports.
In a two mandates divided management, the last one biennial and the first one triennial, we played the European Club Champions Cup, in 1988 and 1990. In the first mandate, the football team won, simultaneously, the Campeonato Nacional (National Championship) and the Taça de Portugal (Portuguese Cup (1986/87), and returned to triumphs in 1989 and 1991 by winning the Campeonato Nacional. The eclecticism was getting stronger, with Championships and Portuguese Cups won in several sports, from handball to Chess, emphasizing the Swimming, with its best period ever in the country.
