Benfica's men's futsal team – reigning national champions – is back! On Thursday, July 24, the team coached by Cassiano Klein began the 2025/26 preseason with physical tests and medical exams, in a day divided between Hospital da Luz, Clínica Benfica, and the gyms at Estádio da Luz. The activities will be repeated on Friday, July 25. The first training session is scheduled for Monday, July 28.
SL Benficahosted in the pavilions, on December 28 and 29, athletes from the USA national youth teams, men’s, and women’s, who were able to experience the eagles’ training methods. 100 players participated in an initiative praised by Brian Catrine, coach of the US Youth Futsal 2007 team. "It was a great experience, we learnt from one of the greatest futsal programs in the world", said, to BTV.
