On the second day of deconfinement after more than a month and a half of social isolation, Rafa, the Benfica attacker, told how the adaptation to a new reality is going.
The pandemic and the return to Benfica Campus
"It's been different, there's no other word. It's something we weren't used to, but we must get used to it quickly. If we do not take the necessary security measures, we will end up hindering each other. We must be able to deal with the situation and live with it. We have to expect anything, so to speak, because it is our job."
Tight health safety in training
"It is something we must get used to. Although it's something unusual, we, as football professionals, must know how to deal with it, and we will know how to handle it. That's not going to take our focus away from what we want, which is to be champions."
All the conditions for the best work
"We are still working in groups, and that is strange. We are all used to being together, to socializing, and now there must be a separation to maintain the rules of hygiene. Benfica's officials have done an impeccable job, we have all the conditions to come back and do our job in the best way"
The same old attitude for the title!
"It is not because we are at this stage that we will take a different approach. Our focus is always to win, and we will continue to do our best to win the matches and be champions."
