Benfica Six-time Short Cross-Country Champions


In Açoteias, the men's team of Benfica was stronger than the opposition and finished in the highs spot of the podium. They defend a title that is theirs since 2013.

The men's athletics team of Benfica has become, this Saturday, at the Track of Açoteias, Six-time Short Cross-Country Champions, with 12 points.

The eagles topped Maia AC, that finished in the 2nd place, with 58 points and SC Braga, that rounded off the collective podium, with 61 points.

In individual terms, Benfica also dominated after filling the three spots of the podium. Rui Pinto was the first to cross the finish line, followed by Hermano Ferreira and Ricardo Ribas, who was the university champion.

In the U-23, Hugo Ganchas, also from Benfica, got the 1st place.
