Benfica traveled to northern Portugal for their match against Chaves in the third round of the Portuguese Cup. Upon arrival in Porto, coach José Mourinho saw some fans in the distance, near the gate of the private terminal at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, and decided to go over there. Ironically, one of the fans was the father of Leonardo Lopes (the goalkeeper called up for this game), and the coach ended up telling him to go and give his son a hug by the bus. An unpredictable moment, a very special hug... see it here!

After the international break, Benfica returns to action at 7:30 pm this Friday, October 17. Ahead of them, the Eagles will face Chaves in a match of the third round of the Portuguese Cup, scheduled for the Estádio Engenheiro Manuel Branco Teixeira.
