18 eagles in the youth national teams

Between the U-16 and U-18s, Benfica has several players in the most recent National teams' squad lists.

Sport Lisboa e Benfica's academy football continues to be heavily represented in the several categories of the youth national teams. In the most recent squad lists of the U-16, Sub-17 and Sub-18s were include 18 players from the Reds.

Thiago Pereira

4 in U-16s

Diogo Prioste, Hugo Félix, Thiago Pereira and Ricardo Marques were the four Benfica players named by Joaquim Milheiro in the 21-man squad list for the UEFA  Development Tournament, in Vila Real de Santo António (February 2 and 11).

Guilherme Montóia

6 in the U-17s

António Silva, Martim Neto, Guilherme Montóia, Gustavo Mendonça, João Tomé and João Resende were the Benfica players chosen to be present in the 43rd Algarve International Tournament, that takes place between February 8 and 12.

Henrique Araújo

7 in the U-18s 

In the U-18 National team, Benfica is the most represented club with seven eagles under the national coach Emílio Peixe for the La Manga International Tournament, that takes place between February 6 and 11, in Espanha. Diogo Nascimento, Filipe Cruz, Gerson Sousa, Henrique Pereira, Henrique Araújo, Rafael Rodrigues and Tomás Araújo are the players from the Reds in the squad list.s

Rajmund Molnár

1 in the U-18s from Hungary

The forward from the U-19s Rajmund Molnár was called up for Hungary U-18 National team, that will carry out a training camp between February 9 and 12, in Telki.
