The Marítimo-Benfica match will have a new refereeing team

Due to a positive Covid-19 test, as a precaution, the reserve team will advance to whistle the game on Monday.

The Refereeing Committee of the Portuguese Football Federation announced this Sunday the change of the refereeing team of Marítimo-Benfica match, from round 29 of the Liga NOS, due to a new coronavirus positive case.

According to the statement issued by the body, Ricardo Santos, assistant referee of the team led by Jorge Sousa, tested positive for Covid-19.

The remaining elements initially appointed remain. Anzhony Rodrigues will be the fourth official, the VAR will be Hugo Miguel and the AVAR will be Bruno Jesus.
