Roger Schmidt at Benfica Campus

Roger Schmidt opened the gates of the training session for the first time since he arrived at Benfica. In front of 23 470 spectators (record in a training session at the Stadium), the team showed the work done in the first week of the pre-season and played a high intensity match. A sunny Sunday afternoon, July 3, with 23 470 people at Estádio da Luz (record attendance) to watch the first football training session of Benfica since January 1, 2020. 

The first 15 minutes of this Thursday's training session at the Benfica Campus were open to all Media, time enough for signs of the intensity of the work of Roger Schmidt's men to emerge. And not even language was an obstacle, as shown by assistant coach Yann-Benjamin Kugel addressing the players in Portuguese. Continuing the preparation work for the 2022/23 season, the professional football squad trained on the morning of this Thursday, June 30, at Benfica Campus.
