Sunday, May 25, saw the 2025 Portuguese Cup final between Benfica and Sporting. At the Estadio Nacional, with a spectacular crowd in attendance, the Eagles had to go to extra time (1-3) after Kökcü (47') and Gyokëres (90'+11' pk) had drawn the derby in regulation time (1-1).

The first phase of the capacity increase at Estádio da Luz has been completed! The Cathedral now has 68,100 seats, reinforcing its status as the largest and most impressive stadium in the country. More than just numbers, this growth means double the excitement: more voices, more color, more Benfica.
