World champion in the 50 and 100-meterbutterfly - titles won at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha –, Diogo Ribeiro was honored at the Estádio da Luz at the end of the afternoon on Sunday, February 25, during half-time of the Benfica-Portimonense match of round 23 of the Liga Betclic. Much applauded and cheered by the fans, who made a point of echoing his name, the swimmer thanked the club and the Benfica fans for all their support. "Without you, it wouldn't have been possible either," he said. Visibly moved by the moment, he shared, once off the pitch, that he felt "full of heart".
