Youth Development guidelines shared internationally

For three days, between April 14 and 16, Benfica Campus hosted the 1st edition of the Goalkeeper Experience, an initiative that allowed 20 boys and girls, born between 2007 and 2012, to develop and perfect their sporting performance as goalkeepers, according to SL Benfica's training methodology. A success, to be repeated!

Christy Ucheibe, Joana Silva, Francisco Neto and João Veloso, players from Benfica's women's team and B team respectively, put their skills to the test in a skill challenge, in which the good mood and relaxation of the moment prevailed. At Benfica Campus, the challenge consisted of the footballers, in pairs, and in a series of 10 shots/passes by each participant, scoring goals in four mini-goals, worth points depending on the degree of difficulty, i.e. the distance to the target. Before and after the match from matchday 21 of the Liga BPI, against Clube de Albergaria (5-0), the women's football team of Benfica was showered with crowds while celebrating their 5th league in a row. The afternoon began with an autograph session attended by hundreds of fans and, at the end of the game, there was time to lift the trophy and take it to the central stand of Benfica Campus Field No. 1, in a celebration in total communion with the fans.

At Benfica Campus, this Friday, May 2, the professional football team of Benfica held another training session ahead of the trip to Estádio António Coimbra da Mota to face Estoril. The match in Amoreira, from matchday 32 of the Liga Betclic, is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, at 8:30 pm.

In the midst of the 120th anniversary of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, the Club's employees and their respective children experienced a very special and emblematic moment this Tuesday morning, March 26. Invited by the President Rui Costa, they visited the facilities of the Professional Football Department at the Benfica Campus and were also able to attend the training session led by Roger Schmidt. At the end of the session, the children met the stars. Between autographs and photographs, nothing was left unrecorded.

Invited by Club Brugge KV, Benfica's management, led by President Rui Costa, made an institutional visit to Bruges City Hall, this Wednesday, February 15, a few hours before kickoff at the Jan Breydel Stadium in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. Taking advantage of the courtesy and welcoming gesture, the Club representatives were in the Gothic Hall of the City Hall and learned about the history of the Belgian city.
