In the year that Eusébio da Silva Ferreira would have celebrated his 83rd birthday, a young man with the same name carries the King's name on his back. Born in 2014 and named after the greatest figure in Benfica's history, who had left six months earlier, Eusébio da Silva Vicente, who was also brought into the world in Mozambique, is inspired by the Black Panther's legacy to make his way through Benfica's youth system. The 2025/26 preseason officially kicked off on Monday, July 14, with medical checks and physical tests between Hospital da Luz and Benfica Campus. In an atmosphere of reunions, renewed energy, and focus on what comes next, 28 players are present on this first day of work of Sport Lisboa e Benfica. Preparation will intensify on Tuesday, July 15, with the first pre-season training session scheduled for the morning, followed by another session in the afternoon at Benfica Campus.
