Preparing for a new clash

Benfica's professional football team began preparations for their clash with Auckland City on Friday, June 20, at 12 noon (5:00 pm continental time) at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, on matchday 2 of Group C of the 2025 Club World Cup with a two 30-minute halves training match against FC Naples on Tuesday, June 17. The Eagles won 2-1, with goals from Gonçalo Oliveira and Belotti.

Benfica's Under-17s beat FC Porto on Sunday, June 15, on matchday 18 of the National Championship and won the 3rd consecutive league title in the competition and the 22nd in the club's history. At Benfica Campus Field No. 1, Tomás Soares (45'+1') and José Neto (54') scored the goals that gave the Eagles a 2-1 victory.
