The Sport Lisboa e Benfica informs that Joan Llanez Diaz and Roberto Reis finish contract and leave the volleyball team.

After six seasons with the eagle on their chests, the athletes face other adventure and new challenges in their respective sporting careers.

Nevertheless, SL Benfica underlines that they will always be connected to a relevant record of achievements in this sport. In six seasons, Roberto Reis and Joan Llanez Diaz, also known as Ché, have integrated a strong and united group which, in this period, has celebrated four National Championships, three Portuguese Cups and six Super Cups.

We are sure that they will never forget the mystique and the love of the "Benfiquistas". The Club would like to thank their effort and dedication, assuming that they will always be a part of a victorious club.

Behind the scenes of another success in the Portuguese Cup!

Benfica's men's volleyball team won the 21st Portuguese Cup on Sunday, March 9, after beating Leixões by 0-3 in the final played at the Centro de Desportos e Congressos de Matosinhos. The five-time national champions lifted another trophy to the delight of the Benfiquistas who supported the Eagles from start to finish, where the Club's values, passion and competitive spirit of excellence were always present. The Glorioso, remember, is the club with the most titles in the main competition!

In the pavilions of Estádio da Luz: 10 games and 10 wins!

A long weekend with a 100 percent winning record in the pavilions of the Estádio da Luz Sports Complex, with triumphs in the 10 matches played by the various Benfica teams in the Club's different indoor sports. With the Benfiquistas always present and cheering, the men's handball, women's handball, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's futsal, women's roller hockey em, men's volleyballand women's volleyball teams once again showed the strength of the Glorioso's eclecticism.
