The Sport Lisboa e Benfica's B team drew with Sporting B, at the Alcochete's Academy, for the Ledman LigaPro, Day 40.

The derby was animated, with both teams trying to organizes the offensive game, with ball possession. Now and then there were some quick offensive moves. The hosts scored with 20 on the clock, by Gelson Dala, with José Gomes equalizing the match, near the halftime (45'), assisted by Hermes.

On the second half, Benfica B was better, but it was Sporting B that scored the 2-1 by Leonardo Ruiz, minute 64. But it was José Gomes' day and he struck the final goal at minute 75.

The Benfica B has now 63 points in the table.

The champion is back!

Benfica's men's futsal team – reigning national champions – is back! On Thursday, July 24, the team coached by Cassiano Klein began the 2025/26 preseason with physical tests and medical exams, in a day divided between Hospital da Luz, Clínica Benfica, and the gyms at Estádio da Luz. The activities will be repeated on Friday, July 25. The first training session is scheduled for Monday, July 28.

Inspiring get-together at Elite Training Camps

During the 6th edition of the Elite Training Camps for women – which runs from Sunday, July 20, to Saturday, July 26, at Benfica Campus –, 40 young women between the ages of 12 and 19 from various locations had the opportunity to meet with Inspiradoras Pauleta and Chandra Davidson, who answered questions about their routines and challenges as professional athletes and took a group photo with the participants. Chandra Davidson also signed autographs for the entire group and made sure to take photos with three fellow Canadians.
