The national coach, Fernando Santos, has announced the selection for the matches against Cyprus (friendly) and Latvia (World Cup 2018 Qualifiers), as well as for the Confederations Cup.

Among the list are three "Benfiquistas": Eliseu, Nélson Semedo and Pizzi.

Portugal faces Cyprus on June 3rd and Latvia on June 9th: The Confederations Cup is played from June 17th to July 2nd, in Russia.

In addition to these "trio", some other Benfica's players were called: Raúl Jiménez, Grimaldo, Salvio, Carrilllo, Ederson and Zivkovic.
