Global Benfica!

The SL Benfica is still growing, since the day it was born in 1904 and, year after year, has been conquering its space in the international panorama, crossing all boundaries.

After 113 years of its foundation, its values remain the same, keeping untouchable and being the bulwark, the lighthouse which lights the way… but the club has been making its adaption to modern times, facing modernization. We honour the past, live the present and look to the future.

There are no words to describe the greatness and the global dimension that Benfica is achieving in this decade.

In what concerns to titles, here they are! 2017 is a great example. The Football team, after the Super Cup, has won the Tetra (Four Championships in a row) and the Portuguese Cup. A memorable season, with SL Benfica assuming its position as the club with the most titles in Portugal.

But this Benfica is much more than Football, as we win so many titles in other sports, European titles included. We have an Olympic Project and we strongly support the youth training. 

Credibility and Innovation

The RED PASS, the investment in the membership, the standardization of Casas do SL Benfica, the international expansion with the Football Schools, the creation of Benfica Seguros (Insurance Company) and Benfica Viagens (Travel Agency) ... and the Communication/Marketing!  A communication which is a success, with the oldest weekly newspaper of Europe, with BTV - the first Sports Channel in Portugal - and the Social Platforms... and the Radio Benfica is yet to come.

 The KPMG says that no club is so much profitable as Benfica; we are on the Top 20; "A Marca" newspaper writes that everything that is touched by Benfica turns to gold…

The recognition of our work comes from all around the world with the reports of "A Marca, "Sky", "L'Équipe, "Esporte Interactivo", "Bild", and others. And we cannot forget the awards, as our Academy was considered the Best Academy in 2015.

 It is a pride to wear this jersey!

 It is not the first time! Many famous personalities have been showing up with our jersey on... and this time it was Madonna! But, as we said before, that is not the only case. Recently, during a visit to Lisbon, the actors of the TV series "Walking Dead" did the same.

 James Harden, the Houston Rockets player, Walter Tavares (when he was in Atlanta Hawks), the Serbian tennis player Djokovic, Mike Tyson, the surfers Matt Wilkinson, Sebastian Steudner and Jordi Smith and the artists Seu Jorge and Carter Beauford, drummer of Dave Matthews band, were other personalities coming out with the Benfica's jersey on. Recently, it was Sin Cara, one of the biggest performers of WWE, who was wearing a mask with an eagle on it, a tribute to the club.

 Benfica is an example of success! All around the world. What an honour to wear this jersey!
