Festejos Tetra

70 players have contributed to the achievement of the first "Tetra" (four championships in a row) in SL Benfica's History, but only five were present in the four consecutive national titles (2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16 and 2016/17), 12 in three, 15 in two and 38 players in just one of the championships. The captain Luisão (95 matches and 8342 minutes), Salvio, André Almeida, Jardel and Fejsa are the men of the entire "Tetra".

Amongst the players with three titles, eight were in the 2016/17 squad – Pizzi, Jonas, Eliseu, Júlio César, Samaris, Lindelöf, Lisandro López, Gonçalo Guedes (transferred in January 2017 to PSG) and Paulo Lopes.

Special emphasis on Jonas (2014/15, 2015/16 and 2016/17), who was the top scorer during this period: 65 goals, in 80 matches and 6393 minutes (an average of one goal per 98 minutes).

From the group of 15 players who were in just two championships, more six players of the 2016/17 squad - Mitroglou, Nélson Semedo, Raúl Jiménez, Ederson, Grimaldo and Luka Jovic.

In two championships: the most regularly used player was Lima (2013/14 and 2014/15), with 5231 minutes and 63 matches, with 33 goals and 14 assists.

35 footballers have participated in just one title, just like Cervi, Rafa, Zivkovic, André Horta, Carrillo, Filipe Augusto, Pedro Pereira, Kalaica, Hermes or José Gomes. Special reference to Garay (2013/14). The Argentinian defender has completed 27 matches and 2423 minutes.

Looking back at the Tetra's numbers, there are many items which prove the Benfica's hegemony in our country. Benfica was the team, during the last four seasons, with the great majority of points (329), winnings (104), goals (304) and with only 74 goals conceded.

This was the most regularly used lineup, between 2013/14 and 2016/17: Júlio César (4885 minutes); André Almeida (5157); Luisão (8342), Jardel (5943) and Eliseu (5954); Fejsa (5003), Pizzi (6412), Salvio (5148) and Gaitán (6261); Jonas (6393) and Lima (5231).
