SL Benfica initiates the 2017/18 season

The preparation for the new season has started, this Friday, in Caixa Futebol Campus and Hospital da Luz, with the usual physical tests and medical exams.

Lisandro, Luisão, Jonas, Kalaica, Cervi, Jardel, André Almeida, Hermes, Rúben Dias, Heriberto Tavares, Pedro Rodrigues, Diogo Gonçalves, Francisco Ferreira, Ivan Zlobin, Seferovic and Krovinovic are the players present in this first day. 

Nélson Semedo, Eliseu, Pizzi and Raúl Jiménez are still playing the Confederations Cup, while other international players, just like Salvio, Samaris, Mitroglou and Zivkovic are yet to come.

The team is going to work at the Academy for twelve days and, after that, the Rui Vitória's team will fly to meet its pre-season program.

PRE-SEASON PROGRAM: 

Day 12 (Monday) – Travel to Bern at the end of the day.

UHRENCUP 2017

Day 13: SL Benfica-N. Xamax, in Grenchen (8pm)

Day 15: SL Benfica-Young Boys, in Biel (5pm)

Return to Lisbon after the match (time to be decided)

Day 18 (Tuesday) – Travel to Algarve.

Day 20: SL Benfica-Bétis Sevilla ­- Algarve Cup (8:30pm), Estádio do Algarve

Day 22: SL Benfica-Hull City – Friendly-match (8:30pm), Estádio do Algarve

Day 23: Travel to Birmingham at the end of the day.

Beginning of the stage at ST. Georges Park

Day 28: Travel to London at the end of the day.

EMIRATES CUP

Day 29: Arsenal-SL Benfica (4:20pm)

Day 30: RB Leipzing-SL Benfica (2pm)
