Ricardo Pesqueira is the new player of the Handball team. The pivot, who was presented this Tuesday, promises to work hard in order to get the title.

“It's a special feeling. This turned to be an easy decision, because of the potential and of what they offer to the athletes", he said to BTV.

The pivot also said that playing in Benfica “is a tremendous challenge” and guarantees that he is going to do everything “to bring the title back to the Club.”

After Pedro Seabra and João Silva, the 25 year-old Portuguese international, is the next player to join the team commanded by Carlos Resende.


“In addition the pivot position, I like to defend a lot, I think that it's the most important moment of the game. Above all, I think that my first commitment is to work, not only for me, but for the team."

With ABC, during the last three seasons, he won the National Championship (2015/2016), two Portuguese Cups (2014/2015 and 2016/2017), a Super Cup (2014/2015)  and a Challenge Cup (2015/2016).
