Hélio Sousa has named 23 players for the two preparation matches of Portugal U-19 National Team, both against Turkey. On the coach's list, there are six Benfica players, making the Club of Luz the most represented.

After the dominance in the U-16 and U-17, Benfica stands out again in the Youth National Teams. In the U-19, Hélio Sousa counts on Florentino Luís, Gedson Fernandes, João Félix, João Filipe, José Gomes and Nuno Santos for the two matches against Turks.

The first encounter will take place On January 15th, at 4:00 pm, at Estádio Nacional, and the second will take place on January 17th, at 10:45 am, at Cidade do Futebol.

Benfica fought until the end for a different outcome in the last 16 of the Club World Cup, but after extra time they fell to Chelsea (1-4), thus ending their journey in the first edition of the competition in the United States of America. In a game that was interrupted in the 86th minute due to the threat of a thunderstorm and ended almost five hours after the kick-off, Di María leveled the score at 90'+5' (1-1), taking the match into 30 minutes of extra time, during which time the result hung in the balance for the English at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

At the Waters Sportsplex in Tampa, Florida, with all 28 players available for the competition, Bruno Lage's team held their final training session before flying to Charlotte, North Carolina, where they will face Chelsea in the round of 16 of the Club World Cup at 9 pm continental time (4 pm local time) on Saturday, June 28.
