António had a dream! To come to Estádio da Luz and meet the players of Benfica's Professional Football squad. Well, at Benfica the dreams are taken seriously and, as always, they are fulfilled… and that was what happened.

The Professional Football and the Benfica Foundation joined forces once again and fulfilled the dream of young António. On last Saturday, in the match of Liga NOS between Benfica and Chaves, António was present at Estádio da Luz and, at the end of the match that ended with a win from the Reds final, had the opportunity to meet the Benfica players one by one.

A moment of great joy that António will surely keep forever and that can be seen here.

Foundation offers a helping hand to Cape Verde

The President of the Republic of Cape Verde, José Maria Neves, visited Estádio da Luz for a meeting with Carlos Moia, executive president of the Benfica Foundation, dedicated to humanitarian aid for the island of São Vicente, recently affected by a severe storm. The head of state emphasized the “long-standing and close relationship” between Cape Verde and Benfica, noting that this cooperation “will have a very strong impact on São Vicente”. Carlos Moia stressed that “the people themselves and their needs are important,” guaranteeing that all hospital supplies will be in Cape Verde by mid-September.
