Telma Monteiro inspires youngsters to "live with determination"

Telma Monteiro participated, this Thursday afternoon, in an event held at Colégio Marista de Carcavelos, where she shared experiences with the students and encouraged them to "live life with determination".

"I want you to fight for your dreams, to never give up, to feel that you have all you need to be successful. And that the path is more important than the result. In fact, I want to inspire you to live with determination." This was the excerpt of Telma's book "Na vida com garra" – launched in September – which served as theme to the event.

"It is important to deliver a positive message. The youngsters are used to look at us as super heroes and it is important to promote this closeness, for them to realize that we are regular people, that we have walked the same road they are walking and that is possible to conciliate the studies with a career", said the Benfica's judoka, to BTV.

The Benfica's judoka – who is unanimously considered as the best Portuguese judoka of all time and one of the best in the world – answered the youngsters’ questions and there was still time for a judo class.
