Benfica became, this Sunday, a U20 European Vice-Champion of Cross-Country, after finishing the event with 36 points, more six than the Spaniards of Playas de Castellon, in Mira.

Special prominence to the athlete Vasco Vilaça, who has finished the 6,26 km event in the 5th place, just 12 seconds behind the winner, the Spaniard Aaron Las Heras (Playas de Castello).

Issac Nader (9th positioned, 35 behind the winner), Alexandre Figueiredo (10th, 36s) and Duarte Gomes (12th, 40s) have closed the formation trained by Rui Silva, as Miguel Ribeiro concluded the competition in the 18th place, 54 behind the winner. 

To remember that Benfica conquered the European title during the generation of Samuel Barata, Miguel Borges and Emanuel Rolim, who are currently in the first team.
