Quarteira hosted the Triathlon European Cup and counted with the presence of the Benfica athletes: Melanie Santos and Miguel Arraiolos. The triathlete made a good result finishing in the 2nd place in the Women's Elite.

Melanie Santos was the first to compete at the beginning of this Saturday afternoon. The Benfiquista became vice-champion crossing the finish line with the time of 2h07m58s, a few seconds after the winner, the Swiss Julie Derron.

Among the Men's Elite, Miguel Arraiolos finished in the 21st place (1h55m38s).
