Jardel, centre-back of Benfica, celebrates, this Thursday, his 32nd birthday with the rest of the squad which is preparing the clash with V. Guimarães (March 31st, at 6:15 pm).

At Luz since 2010/11, the number 33 jersey has made 206 appearances with the eagles, he has scored 13 goals and he is, currently, one of the players that composed the starting back four unit of the squad led by Rui Vitória.

In the current season he has played 2565 minutes in all competitions, being that 1815 were in the Liga NOS, competition in which he has played 21 matches. He has also scored two goals (Rio Ave and Boavista) and made three assists.

With an eagles on his chest he was won 13 titles (4 National Championships, 2 Portuguese Cups, 5 League Cups and 2 Super Cup).

At the Estádio da Luz, Benfica battled for victory until the last second against Sporting in the 33rd and penultimate matchday of the Liga Betclic 2024/25,but ended up having to share the points (1-1). Aktürkoğlu scored the goal for the eagles, finishing off a brilliant play by Pavlidis. The title will be decided in the final round.

Maximum concentration on the derby
