The U-14 team of Benfica was the winner of the 2018 IberCup Tournament, which took place from March 30 to April 1, at the Lewisville Railroad Park Complex, in the United States.

After qualifying for the quarter-finals of the competition, the Under-14 team B beat Arsenal Colorado by 8-0, a large win with goals from Ricardo Nóbrega (1’ and 2’), David Quenda (9’), Pedro Santos (15’), Hugo Félix (19’, 45’ and 46’) and Mauro Ribeiro (34’).

In the semi-finals, the benfiquista squad had once again the upper hand: a rout over Ottawa South United (7-0) with goals from João Neves (7’), Iuri Moreira (9’, 19’ and 35’), Hugo Félix (16’ and 48’) and David Quenda (36’).

In the final, the Benfica U-14 squad locked horns with Sockers FC Chicago, who they beat by 3-0, thus becoming the winners of the tournament. The goals from the reds were scored by Hugo Félix, who opened the scoring at 17’, Ricardo Marques (40’) and João Neves (49’).

European Under-17 champions are back in Portugal

They are players from Benfica's Youth Training, European Under-17 champions, and are already in Portugal. Daniel Banjaqui, Ricardo Neto, Mauro Furtado, José Neto, Rafael Quintas, Stevan Manuel, Gil Neves, Tomás Soares, and Anísio Cabral, members of the national team that won the European Under-17 Championship for Portugal, arrived in Lisbon on Tuesday, June 3. Speaking to BTV, the Portuguese captain and best player of the competition, Benfica's Rafael Quintas, spoke of his “pride” in bringing the trophy to Portugal and revealed that he has received “many messages” from Benfica fans. The top Portuguese scorer in the competition, with three goals, Tomás Soares said that “everyone performed at the highest level”. Ricardo Neto spoke of the “enormous responsibility” of representing Portugal. Under-23: images from the victory of the 1st Revelação Cup

Coming from a 2-0 victory in the first leg, Benfica U-23s won 2-4 at Torreense on Saturday, May 31, clinching the Revelação Cup, their first title in the competition. Telma Monteiro's donation to the Benfica Museum – Cosme Damião

An icon of Benfica and Portuguese judo, Telma Monteiro donated the kimono she wore in her last competition for the club, specifically the National Club Championship in October 2024, which earned her the women's title, to the Benfica Museum – Cosme Damião. The judoka also donated the belt she wore during her last Olympic cycle. “It's the place where it makes the most sense to stay, leaving a little of my legacy, preserving my history with Benfica,” said Telma Monteiro.

An unforgettable Children's Day

This Tuesday, May 27, the Benfica Foundation and Sport Lisboa e Benfica marked World Children's Day with the participation of more than 1,500 young people.  Between the Estádio da Luz pitch and the pavilions, there were fun, educational and sporting activities, with the contribution of the various sports and the partners of the Club and the Foundation. Lively, with everything designed to stimulate the children and provide them with different experiences, this was a “very special” moment, as Jorge Miranda, director of the Foundation, told BTV. "We couldn't miss the opportunity to have an unforgettable day," he said. Representing the Almeirim Karting Circuit, Tiago Evaristo stressed the importance of “road education”.
