The National Team carries out on June 7th, against Algeria, the final test before the departure to Russia, the country where it will be held the 2018 World Cup. Once more, the Estádio da Luz is the chosen stage to host Portugal's last match before a major competition.

June 8, 2016. It seems a date like any other, but it is the date in which Portugal thrashed 7-0. The match which was held at Estádio da Luz had Cristiano Ronaldo and Quaresma as the standout performer and was the last in Portugal before the 2016 European Championship, a competition that would crown Portugal as the best team in Europe.

Nearly two years later, history is repeating itself. Portugal says farewell to the Portuguese people with an encounter in the Cathedral, this time against Algeria, at 8:15 pm on July 8th. The Algerian National team features players such as Brahimi, Slimani and Soudani, well-known players from the Portuguese football, as well as Rabah Madjer, the national team coach who represented FC Porto in the 1980's and 1990's.

The tickets for this match are already on sale at the online ticket office of the Federação Portuguesa de Futebol: 25€ in the category 1, 20€ in the category 2 and 15€ in the category 3.

The Russia World Cup takes place from June 14 to July 15. Portugal was placed in group B along with Spain Morocco and Iran.
