The women's Water Polo of Benfica won, this Sunday, in Braga, the 2nd Portuguese Cup of its history. The swimmers of Benfica beat Fluvial Portuense by 8-7, after the penalty shootout (7-7 at full time).

Benfica racked up the second Portuguese Cup of its history - after winning in 201/2015 - against Fluvial Portuense, the club that apart from being the current Three-time National champion, had won the trophy in the last two seasons.

On Tuesday afternoon, May 20, Benfica's professional football team trained at the Estádio Nacional, the venue for the Portuguese Cup final. Ruy Castelo Branco, director of the Benfica Residential Academy, and Adriano Laaber, coach of the Benfica Residential Academy women's team, visited the Benfica Campus on Tuesday, May 20, where they had the opportunity to follow the daily activities. "The main objective of the academy is to develop the athlete with the Benfica methodology and combine the academic part with the athletic part," Ruy Castelo Branco told BTV. “Feeling and experiencing this on a daily basis, especially the energy of the Benfica Campus, is enriching,” he said, noting that the goal is to continue cementing the Club's values in the United States.
