Seven players from Benfica featured in the starting XI in the second encounter of the competition and three came on during the match.

João Monteiro, Francisco Saldanha (captain of Portugal National Team), Tomás Tavares, Henrique Jocu and Bernardo Silva played the 80 minutes of the match. João Ferreira was replaced by Rafael Brito at 41’, Jair Tavares (on the photo) came off at 50’ to give his place to his teammate Umaro Embaló and Gonçalo Ramos came on at 77’.
Two of the four goals from Portugal were scored by players from Benfica. Bernardo Silva scored the 2-0 at 35’ and Gonçalo Ramos scored the last goal, shortly after coming on at 79’, with an assist from Umaro Embaló. The third goal of the match also resulted from a pass from a player of the eagles: Rafael Brito.
Henrique Pereira and Nuno Cunha were not fielded in this encounter. O Benfica is the most represented club among the 20 players who represent Portugal in this European Championship.
The National Team leads Group B with four points (they drew 0-0 against Norway in the opening match) and they will play again on May 10th, against Sweden, at 1:00 pm, in Burton Albion.
