Fernando Pimenta won, this Sunday, the second and third medals of the weekend. At the Speed World Championship, held in Szeged, Hungary, the Benfica’s athlete achieved the silver in K1 500m and the gold again in K1 5000m.

In the final A of K1 500m, the Olympic athlete finished with the time of 1.35,266 minutes, behind the Spaniard Roi Rodriguez (1:35.149). The Hungarian Zsombor József Noé completed the podium, with 1:36.505.

On his own again, now in the 5000 m, Fernando Pimenta was, once more, gold medal, finishing the event with 19:19.805. The podium was completed by the Hungarian Adrián Boros (19:48.833) and the French Quentin Urban (19:57.611).

These are the second and third medals of the weekend, after winning the Gold last Saturday, in the K1 1000 m event.
