Almost a month after the conquer of the Portuguese Cup, Paulo Moreno, captain of the eagles, has delivered the cup to Museum Benfica – Cosme Damião.

It was on May 27th that the Benfica’s handball team racked up the 6th Portuguese Cup, after beating Sporting by 31-24, in a thrilling match where the supporters said “present” and with lots of red goals: Davide Carvalho (8), Belone Moreira (6), Pedro Seabra (4), João Pais (4), Alexandre Cavalcanti (4), Paulo Moreno (3), André Alves (1) and Patrianova (1).

Remembering the captain’s words, Paulo Moreno, right after the match: “It was a great match, we were offensively very well and defensively impeccable. Congratulations to the team, we deserve it. We worked hard during the entire year. The team is the most important”, said the pivot.
