Eliseu, left defender of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, 33 years old, has extended his contract for one more year.

At the time of the deal, Eliseu revealed that he had received proposals from other clubs, but his thoughts were with Benfica.

“The truth is that there were many proposals, but the purpose was to go on in Benfica. Both Benfica and I, we are very happy and now it's time to keep working with the eagle on the chest, for one more year", he said to BTV.

The Portuguese international has assumed that he is happy at the Club and assured that he is going to put it all in order to honor the red jersey: “Not only me, my family is very happy too and now I think that it's time to return the trust that Benfica is giving on me", he declared.
