The Museu Benfica – Cosme Damião completes, today, four years of existence.

Idealized, built, inaugurated and awarded. In a few words, this could be the summary of the Museum's path during the last four years, standing out in the country's cultural panorama.

Since its inauguration, on July 26th 2013, it has been offering several motifs of interest to all the visitors, either “Benfiquistas”, Members or, simply, football lovers.

The Benfica's centenary History took a shape in a singular work, very expected by all the "Benfiquistas". Over the last four years, the Museum has followed a long path, with important achievements. More than 300 thousand people have visited a building with thousands of pieces and trophies.

Benfica District: Gianni Infantino's intervention

FIFA President Gianni Infantino congratulated Benfica “for the vision, the courage, the innovative way that has always been in the DNA” of the club, praising the Benfica District project. "It will make the fans, those who love football, those who love your club, feel even more passion, even more emotion," he said. "You already have an iconic stadium, of course, where some of the most wonderful pages of our sport have been written. Now it's going to be renovated to make it even better, to make the whole surrounding area look incredible," said the head of world football's governing body in his video address.
