“I'm very happy to arrive at Benfica, a big club, the biggest Portuguese and I hope to help the team", he said at the airport.

“I come to learn, to find my space, and to help my mates with my work. I hope to train well with my teammates, to learn a lot", he added.

Known as "Gabigol", the 21-year-old left-footed is seen as the next Brazilian star. Some call him the "new Neymar", after the winning of the Gold Medal, along with the PSG's forward, at the Olympic Games.

“I talked to some Benfica's players but I think that the team needs no presentations", he declared.

In four matches with the Brazilian team, Gabriel scored twice, while he counts only with a goal in Internazionale. (10 matches).

“I was very happy at Inter, I grew up and learnt a lot, but now it's a new stage in my career. I want to help to win trophies", he concluded.
