The Brazilian striker made his debut in the Champions League.
12 September 2017, 22h01
Gabriel Barbosa played for the first time in the Champions League against CSKA. He was happy to have played in such an important competition, but he was sad for the result.
“I'm very happy to have fulfilled the dream of playing in a competition like the Champions League. I'm sad for the defeat”, he said.
In his game analysis, he considered that Benfica worked well and highlighted a mistake from the refereeing team. “We worked the ball well, we scored a goal and we had a penalty in our favor that was not awarded. We still have other games to turn this around", he remembered.
About his debut, Gabriel Barbosa mentioned: “I'm looking for my space in the team, I helped. We just didn't win"
