Benfica's supporters didn't leave Estádio da Luz with the intended result (a 1-all draw), but that didn't stop them from supporting the team. Thank you, "Benfiquistas" - this was the message that the group wanted to share with the supporters.
The "Reds" opened the scoring early on, through the Mexican striker Raúl Jimenéz, in the 11th minute. SC Braga put the game back on level terms in the second half, through Ricardo Ferreira, in the 68th minute.
In the end of the Benfica-SC Braga, opening match in the CTT Cup, the supporters began chanting in unison in the stands "I love Benfica". The team gathered in the midfield to thank the support throughout the match, in a gesture of unity between the squad and the "Benfiquistas".
