The forward made in Benfica made two assists in Valencia's triumph.
25 September 2017, 10h44
With two assists, Gonçalo Guedes, athlete who graduated from Benfica's academy, was the standout player in Valencia’s away win against Real Sociedad on Sunday (3-2), a game from week 6 from the Spanish League.
Loaned by PSG this season, the Portuguese international has been gathering momentum in Spain. The press and Valencia's coach have been praising the forward’s performances.
“We knew that Guedes was a player with a huge potential and we did everything for him to come our club. We are very pleased with the way he is playing”, declared Marcelino Toral after the match in the Basque Country, he who picked up an injury while celebrating after the winner.
“I picked up a muscle strain. There are certain situations I have to control more. I'm a bit lame, but I'd rather be lame than have an injured player. I can manage the team like this", said Toral.
